WI Advisers are responsible for the formation of new WIs and for helping individual WIs, they also organise various training classes. See below for details of future events.

CONGRATULATIONS

Have you heard? Congratulations are in order for our three new WIs. These are West Malvern, with a membership of over 50, Evesham, now well established in the heart of the town and the latest one, Welland, with a membership of over 23 and growing. All three are thriving and have a full programme of exciting activities such as making a group quilt, swishing, helping at an Olympic event and some are even going fishing!

We look forward to seeing those members who have booked a place at our special information and promotion days on March 3rd to Cutnall Green Village Hall, or March 10th to Cropthorne & Charlton Village Hall, do contact your WI Adviser if you would like help with any future promotion or publicity.

RESOLUTION 2012
Thank you to all the 1,432 members who sent in their vote and made their choice for this years resolution.

RESOLUTION AND CAMPAIGN DAY

The Resolution and Campaign Day on April 16th will be at two different venues. The first is at Peopleton Village Hall from 9.30 to 3pm which includes lunch and the second at Holt Village Hall from 7pm to 9pm. At the time of going to press, the speakers have yet to be chosen. These are dependent on the Resolution results, but there promises to be some lively discussion! Don’t miss this opportunity to be well informed on the chosen Resolution/s for 2012 which you will all be debating at your May meetings. The Public Affairs column will have details of other more local campaign issues to be included in these sessions. Please apply to the office by Wednesday 28 March; sending a stamped addressed envelope, cost £6 pp to include lunch or £3 without lunch and for the evening session.

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING - 30 MAY 2012 LONDON ALBERT HALL

Due to the vast increase in cost for accommodation in London this summer, it has been decided to limit the visit to the AGM in May to just a day. Coaches will be leaving Worcester on 30 May from around 6.30am and returning later that evening. We would appreciate that all WI’s make sure your link delegate has been given £5 towards their expenses.

AGM DELEGATES GET-TOGETHER
We are looking forward to visiting London for our AGM on 30 May. With this in mind we have arranged a briefing for all delegates at W.I. House on Monday 14 May 10.am. and/or Tuesday 15 May 7.30pm. Please notify the office which time you will be attending before 7 May.
